Compton and Chandlers Ford Cricket Club - New Players

Welcome to Compton and Chandler's Ford Cricket Club.

Our club has 4 Saturday teams playing at various levels in the Hampshire League pyramid.  Our First XI gained promotion back up to County 1 in 2019, the Second and Third XI will be looking to build on their strong recent seasons when playing in County 4 and Regional 2, whilst the Fourth XI will be hoping to continue to improve in the restructured Regional 3.  As well as this, we have a thriving Junior Section with Age Groups running from U9, through to U15 and a fantastic All Stars setup for youngsters looking to gain their first experiences in Cricket (click here for more information on the Junior Section).

We believe that we have a standard to accommodate the vast majority of cricketers and encourage anyone who is looking to get back into the game or after a new challenge to join our sociable and friendly cricket club.

Based at Shepherds Lane, Compton, we feel very lucky with the facilities at our disposal which the club members, along with the Compton and Shawford Sports Club, work hard to maintain and improve.  These include: a scenic and pleasant playing area with an excellent wicket, 3 x all-weather nets for practice,  a pavilion with ample changing facilities, well-stocked licensed bar and outdoor barbecue area.

Club practice sessions are up at Compton from 6:15pm - 8:15pm (approx.) every Thursday during the season (May-August).    Throughout the winter (Jan-April) we use Thornden School in Chandler's Ford for Junior and Adult preseason Training.

All in all, we are a large community of players who generally take our cricket seriously and play to win.  However our main motivation for playing is to enjoy ourselves and fortunately the facilities, personnel and social atmosphere at C&CF CC make this extremely easy to do, regardless of the results on the pitch!

If you would like to come and see what the club has to offer you, please fill in the contact form and we will ensure there will be someone to meet and greet you at one of our net sessions or games.
